CM Bidwell & Associates was founded in 1979 while Dr. Bidwell was a professor of finance at the University of Hawaii.
The culture of the firm, naturally, has always been an academic one; employees were hired based on high academic achievement and a desire to continue learning. We’ve always sought out employees who made us better at managing money. We feel that if we are good at what we do, the clients will come.
We are very much a family firm with a select group of clients. We have never been interested in hiring financial salespeople to go attract an ever-growing client base. We are interested in knowing our clients and providing them with personal service. Professor Bidwell has always wanted to answer the phone and know the client personally.
